Del
Mar is a small city in it's own right, bordered by parks to the south
and east. Most famous for its 350 acre horse race track, which used to
attract
old Hollywood including Bing and Jimmy Durrante, owners of the
track.

The southern half of Del
Mar rises up from the bluffs above the surf and into the hills. Winding
streets follow the landscape affording access to the view homes
on the slopes. An
abundance of mature trees
lends a woodsy feel.
The northern half of the
town
"The beach
colony"
is
completely
different...
....
it's flat with short streets ending on the sand
and mainly well cared
for beach homes.
The ocean in the foreground,
racetrack behind, dog beach to the right,
Del Mar City to the right of that.
